The City of El Dorado Springs maintains a City park in the downtown business district. This park is a focal point of the community. In fact, the town was founded in 1881 around a spring that still flows in the park. The park is the site of an annual founder's day picnic each year in mid-July. Approximately 30,000 people attend the three-day event. Sharing center stage with the spring is the Municipal Band which plays on Friday, Saturday and Sunday evening during the summer months.
The City also maintains a park adjacent to the Lucien Carter I Ball Park. This park features two lighted outdoor basketball courts. The park also has picnic tables and playground equipment.
A third City park is located at Carman & Main. This park features a backstop and a walking trail. You will find a shelter house, picnic tables, barbeque grills and playground equipment located here in our newest park.
