

The Elementary is located on the south end of the K 12 building in a newly renovated building.
The curriculum is frequently updated requiring hands-on activities. Professional development is ongoing, training teachers in research-based math and science and balanced literacy. Student instruction is based an frequent assessment of each child. Each classroom has networked computers and Internet access
Weekly instruction is provided in art, music, P. E., and library research skills, with band beginning in 5th grade.
Guidance counseling, special education, gifted classes, speech and lan&age classes, remedial instruction, an after school program (P.E.L.T.), and tutoring are available for students needing extra help. A strong Parent/Teacher Organization provides cultural assemblies and field trips.
Students are given opportunities to perform in music programs, join honor choir, just-say-no club, a variety of book clubs, and after school piano lessons.
